How to Play Arena of Champions: Guest Login, Keybinds and Camera
This guide shows how to play Arena of Champions from the first screen: how to get in without an account, which keys do what, how the action bar works and how to move the camera. The game window above is the same one as on the Arena of Champions page, so you can keep this guide open and try each key as you read.
Step 1: get into the game as a guest
The first step in how to play Arena of Champions is the login screen. On your first visit the game shows a Loading message for a while, then the login screen appears. You do not need to register: click Play as Guest. The screen says "No account needed. Save your progress any time." The game gives you a guest name such as Guest23656, and when you refresh the page it signs you back in with the same guest.
The same screen also has an email and password Sign In, a Create an account link for new players and a Download for Windows button for the desktop client. After you sign in, the game shows Connecting while it reaches the game server. If it says "Lost the connection to the server", use the Reconnect button on that screen.
Step 2: learn the default keybinds
Knowing the keys is most of how to play Arena of Champions. These are the defaults from Settings → Key Bindings. You can change every one of them there, and a Reset Key Bindings button puts them back.

Step 3: use the action bar
The action bar has eight slots on keys 1 to 8. Next to it sit three class abilities on R, Shift-R and Alt-R, and two general abilities on T and G. Press N to open Spells & Talents.
Targeting works like a tab-target arena game. Press Tab to pick the nearest enemy and F to make your target your focus. Hold Shift with an action key to cast that action at your focus instead of your current target. F1 targets yourself and F2 and F3 target your party members, so you can switch to an ally without clicking.
Step 4: control the camera
The last part of how to play Arena of Champions is the camera. It is third person and follows behind your character. Drag with the left mouse button to look around, drag with the right mouse button to turn your character, and walk and strafe with the keyboard. The mouse wheel zooms in and out.
Settings → Controls has a camera turn speed slider (100% by default) and a Deselect on click switch. With it off, which is the default, only Esc clears your target; with it on, clicking the ground also clears it.

Do I need an account to play Arena of Champions?
No. Click Play as Guest on the login screen and the game gives you a guest name. Refreshing the page signs you back in as the same guest, and you can create an account later if you want one.
Can I change the keybinds?
Yes. Open Settings → Key Bindings to change any key. Reset Key Bindings puts every key back to the defaults listed in this how to play Arena of Champions guide.
How do I cast an ability on my focus target?
Press F to set your current target as focus, then hold Shift and press the action key. Shift with an action key casts at your focus. Shift-F targets your focus directly.
How do I turn the camera and my character?
Drag with the left mouse button to look around without turning, and drag with the right mouse button to turn your character. Scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.
What does Lost the connection to the server mean?
The game lost its link to the game server after you signed in. Click Reconnect on that screen, or refresh the page; your guest name stays the same after a refresh.
Is there a desktop version?
Yes. The login screen has a Download for Windows button for a Windows client. You can also play in the browser on this page.
